Privacy Policy (GDPR)

Last updated: April 20, 2026

1. Commitment to Privacy

At RejectCheck, your privacy is not an afterthought-it's part of our DNA. As a tool optimised for developers, we understand the importance of data sovereignty. This document explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Collect

Registered Users

We store your email, username, profile picture, and analysis history. For each analysis, we also store your CV text, job description, and - if provided - your LinkedIn profile, GitHub activity, and motivation letter, to power premium features such as CV rewriting and cover letter generation.

Anonymous Scans

For anonymous scans, we store your CV and job description only long enough to run the analysis, then automatically delete them within 7 days. After that we keep only your IP address and a timestamp to enforce the free-tier limit. Create an account to save an analysis to your dashboard.

3. AI & Data Processing

CV analysis, CV rewriting, and cover letter generation are processed using Anthropic Claudemodels via their API. Generating an optional starter-repo scaffold uses Google's Gemini API. Anthropic does not train on your data:data sent through the Claude API is not used to train Anthropic's models, and your documents are processed transiently, never stored on Anthropic's servers beyond the request. On our own servers, anonymous scans are auto-deleted within 7 days (see above); registered users' analyses are kept in their dashboard until they delete them.

4. Right to Deletion

You have the right to be forgotten. Registered users can request full account and history deletion at any time by contacting us. We aim to process all deletion requests within 48 hours.

Questions or Requests?

If you wish to exercise your data rights or have questions about our practices, reach out to our DPO.
